Plank Walkway Systems
Gripspan, Shur-grip and Alu-tread are lightweight walkway solutions. Lighter walkway products reduce the dead load on the structural frame and designing buildings to use less material overall (dematerialisation), can lower the embodied carbon impact and simultaneously reduce upfront building costs, without compromising on quality of build or life span of the walkway.
Alu-Tread: Extruded Aluminium walkways, 6000 x 600mm planks are built to perform in the highly corrosive environments, e.g. where harsh chemicals or high atmospheric salt levels will compromise the structural integrity of traditionally sturdy Mild Steel options.
Gripspan: A lightweight, anti-slip plank flooring system with high spanning capabilities and minimal deflection, R13 slip rating and a BPN between 82 & 84 on the Wet Pendulum test (profile dependent), make it an ideal solution for condenser platforms, roof access and mezzanines. It has a 24-34% open area, and meets the standards set up under AS1657 S4.5, which indicates that any aperture (opening) in a protective barrier or surface must not permit a 15mm diameter ball to pass through. This requirement is designed to prevent falls and injuries by ensuring openings are too small for objects to pass through to a lower level.
Shur-grip: A lightweight, anti-slip plank flooring system with high spanning capabilities and minimal deflection. It has 360 degree traction, whilst also possessing a smooth surface design, with a 40/50mm height, and a 32-39% open area (profile dependent).
